What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, company, and a hashed password (we never store the password itself).
- Driver details: truck make, model and year, home ZIP code, the areas and times you usually drive, and how you want to be paid. We show only a masked version of payout details.
- Location data (drivers): while a Tailgate tracker is fitted to your truck, it records the truck's position, speed and time about once a minute, whether the sign's beacon is present, and the tracker's power status.
- Photos and artwork you upload, such as sign check-in photos and campaign artwork.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, not your card number.
Why we use it
To run campaigns, prove to advertisers that their sign was on the road, calculate impressions, pay drivers, prevent fraud, and support you. Advertisers see where their sign travelled during their campaign; they do not see your name, home address or anything outside the campaign dates.
How long we keep it
Raw location records are kept for the length of a campaign plus the period needed to settle payments and answer advertiser questions, then reduced to daily totals. Account records are kept while your account is open. The exact retention periods will be set out here once reviewed.
Your rights (California)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you can ask to know what we hold about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted, and you can limit the use of sensitive personal information such as precise location. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, message us from your account.
Turning tracking off
Location is recorded only while a tracker is fitted. Unplug it, or tell us you're stopping, and recording stops. Minutes without a tracker are not paid.
